Pride parade and festival

Today was the Gainesville pride parade and festival, an annual event in celebration of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people. After a long morning of shooting my photo story, I drove downtown to see the parade. It was fun and I was able to get a few funny features, but once the parade was over and everyone was hanging out in the Bo Diddley Community Plaza, protesters from Dove World Outreach Center gathered to object the event, warning people to abandon their ways and seek forgiveness. However, festival goers were not happy with the protesters and began chanting, "Our God loves us! Our God loves us!"
